Frank Llaneza IS IN!!
The Frank Llaneza 1961, the cigar that was released at our Cigar Dave event, has just arrived at the Tinderbox at Southpark (being sent to our other stores, but its at Southpark right now if you want one immediately).
For those of you that did not attend the event, or have not sampled this cigar yet, this is a pretty full bodied cigar. To me, this tasted like a very strong and spicy padron, with undertones of earth and cedar.
When first lit, the cigar has a little bite to it that quickly mellows out and becomes smooth but still mildly spicy and with good flavor. Towards the end of the smoke (I smoked this cigar down to a tiny little nub), the strength and spice became very apparent and at this point the cigar developed a sort of peppery taste.
I thought this was a great cigar and would suggest it to any that have not tried it, or that are looking for a good full bodied cigar. This is not as strong as a la flor double ligero, but it is still pretty full.
Its a great stick, and I would think that this cigar would age nicely.

For all the Overstreet guys I should have it in the store within a week. Like Craig and Chris said it is a great smoke with a rich, full body flavor to it. This is a cigar that should be in everyone's humidor!

My name is Alexander Dimitry Vasilev, I just so happened to be passing through the area of Charlotte with the Russian Imperial Third Army, when Yuri, my aide de camp, notified me of the presence of another general in our near vicinity.
This peaked my interest and I thought to myself I must meet this other General, so I ordered a forced march towards the Lodge at Ballentyne Resort.
When we arrived, and to my dismay, there was not a single general in sight. Only a man that called himself a general, and that had 4 stars on his shirt sleeve. This man is not a real general, and to make matters worse, he called me a Bolshevik...what nonsense. In order to uphold the honor of Mother Russia I challenged this man to a duel. However, Yuri had forgotten to pack the dueling pistols, and this man, obviously seeing his grave mistake offered me a cigar. I found this to be a rather odd proposition, but then again, I am no expert of what traditions exist in the America. I accepted this cigar as his apology.

This cigar is strong, strong like the russian bear, and full in body like a good German Frau. I will be having my commisar stock my humidor with a good selection of this proper cigar.

I use my own blend of oil pressed from baby seals paired with only the finest carnauba wax. The key is to get just the right consistency. This may take some time.

In Mother Russia we tend to prefer a cigar that is of full body and of stout construction. For example, I would use the American term which I believe is said, "Like a brick outhouse," to describe the kind of cigar that is popular in the Czars empire. At the end of each month we hold a competition in which we do the traditional Cossack dance whilst chain smoking La Flor Double Ligero Maduro Chisels. The last person that remains alive wins. The popularity of this competition has waned lately, but it is still held on a regular basis. I hope that this has answered your question comrade.
